SCOPE OF WORKS:

Leslie Clark have been appointed by Aviva Investors to act as CDM Principal Designer and Client Adviser on various projects at Crown Point Retail Park, Leeds.

Projects have comprised Landlord Shell works suitable to receive tenant fit outs to a number of units, rear extensions to units, car reconfiguration, new substations and roof overlay works.

Landlord shell works have generally comprised; shell strip out, mezzanine demolitions and/or construction of new, new shopfronts, new tower signage, redecorations internally and externally.

Recently a CAPEX project was undertaken to overlay a large portion of the Retail Park’s roof. Works comprised relining and repairing gutter, overlaying existing roof system with liquid applied coating, rooflight recoating.

KEY PROJECT CONSTRAINTS:

During all projects undertaken the Retail Park has remained live throughout the works. Principal Contractors have been required to segregate works from the general public to the pedestrianised areas to the shopfront areas and other tenant activities to the rear service yard. This included the roof overlay works, which were undertaken above live retail units.

A number of the projects were undertaken during the Covid 19 pandemic which created its own constraints for the Project Team.
